While its apart, should Tee off the oil sender, and run an oil line to lube that gear ot keep the next one alive.

Hopefully, the carb didn't take any damage, there were MANY of those backfires.

No big deal, didn't like that distributor anyway.

Looked in at the gears this am, don't look too bad. Already had plans of an oil change and changing out my oil pan at the time as mine has a minor leak, so also not a problem.
Tippy is sending me the info for adding the oiler into the system, so get some new gears and good to go.

Biggest problem is, if I don't get it done asap, not sure when I will get to it, so have to see.

GREAT time with the group. Glad Jamie talked me into finally making it out there. Even with the damaged motor, had fun with the club.

Thanks Aaron for the ride the rest of the day, and thanks Tippy for giving Jamie a ride in both the jeep and your Dad for a ride in the buggy!

True, but way easier to reinflate than the one we did at Rocks and Valleys a few weeks ago. The inside bead popped back on as soon as the pressure was removed from the tire.

I'm suprised no-one commented on the aluminum thing in my post, 3rd from the bottom. Seriously nice metal fab on that thing. Healthy V8 in there, too. Somebody put a LOT of time into making that..

From the pic it is hard to tell that it is a hand-formed aluminum tub. Those that weren't there, may not realize it.

Was some serious work on that beast!!

There were rigs that ran the gauntlet from Shadetree Redneck to high $$$ pro-built.

The club should build a version of the redneck platform rig on the mobile home chassis.

Our own dunes party bus.
