Don't worry there's still two tires on the ground.

Linda just called and said the cross member, skid plate and part of the 4 link brackets are in.

I also called about the transfercase and he hopes to have it ready to ship out by this Friday 12/9/11.

Then the fun starts.

I had to send the transfer case back.
The damm thing would not fit like they said it would.
I could have made it fit by modifying the trans mount and cutting up the floor board of the jeep to make room for the case. And maybe adding a body lift.
Also they told me the case weigh 200 lbs.
They even had 195 lbs. on the shipping bill.
When we shipped it back it weigh 245lbs. same crate and packaging.
So apparently when you go into our garage you gain about 50lbs.

So I ordered a different one from a differt company but it will not be here until the middle of next month.

So it is off to the garage in a little while to work on my junk.

Everything I see on pirate seems to be the same, poor service and quality from Stak.

I would have to agree.
I called them a few times on this. Talked to their expert.
Sent them pictures twice.
Then they would not answer my calls or call me back.
That is until they received their case back.
Then they wanted to know what happen.

Well dam it.
I leared a few things this week working with the plasma cutter.
One white seems to bethe best color when drawing a line that you want to follow.
Two be carefull when cutting. Start the cut where it does not matter.

And nthree You will know where you have bear skin showing.

I have used thin slices of MDF, like 1/4" thick, to be guides.

Also, I don't think you need too dark of a shade for plasma. I don't see great through my autodark. I bought a nice quality full face shield a while back, and I have a #5 full face lens for it, much better visibility.

in Amps
Minimum Shade Number

Below 20
#4

20-40
#5

40-60
#6

60-80
#8

Compare that to my #11 for my MIG, its much harder to see with the welding mask.

The rear comp fenders are temp. installed. Needs to removed and painted then reinstalled.
The spare tire mount is temp installed. Needs to be removed and painted and reinstalled.
The roll cage is sitting in the tub now. Man what a bitch that was getting it in there with just Linda and I.

Still a long was to go.
