Default Vroom Vroom....

New motor for the Jeep is here:

5.3 Vortec HO (from 2007 silverado)
310 hp/335 ft-lbs
aluminum block - ~430 lbs...

Got the manifolds, all accessories, all wiring, ECU, drive by wire pedal, fuel pump/module, etc...

Looking GOOD !!!!! With the ECU, can you run a 4L60 behind it ?

If I wanted to, yes. To do it correct, it should have a VSS signal in the transfer case output, and wiring to signal when it 4wheel low. People put a 2wd vss tone ring on the trans output and pick it up there. I just don't really want to deal with it. But we'll see.

It might be a PITA, hassle now but in the long run you`ll be happy. Recall saying you wanted a rig for the family to enjoy. Might that mean some highway travel ? Even if it`s just to the ice cream store. Screaming down the road at 3,xxx rpm will get old fast.

Which is why my main plan had/has been to use my 700R4 and just run a manual valve body. I don't care about shifting, I've been wheeling manuals for over 13 years.
