Default Swampjeep's new Dune vehicle project

1990 blazer rust bucket
has a 350/700r4 both supposedly have few miles since a rebuild
very good front clip, but the body is wasted, almost as bad as the yellow one I have at SL already LOL

this clip is in decent condition, if I decide to sell off teh blue one above, and use the frame from the yellow one at SL, this clip should work just fine

and here's a few of the nearly rust free, 1987 body, nearly totally stripped of all components

more pics here

I have no idea who would help you get into a project like that
Looks like a great start though. I'm wanting a K5 project myself..

FYI: Make sure when you are moving either of them that the rear top is secured down somehow. I hear they have a tendancy of flying off at certain speeds.....

I've been debating it myself, if I'd like a K5 as a trail vehicle that I could more easily fit all the family in.

having driven both a lot, I like the jeep more, can't exactly say why... I guess being smaller I find it easier to maneuver and see around the vehicle, over the hood, all that, but the extra room sure is nice. Only place I really see the size and seeing over the hood and around the vehicle as an issue is tight trails and/or technical driving. a '75 and older would even give the full convertible, I've thought about cutting the top and going with a custom convertible top, but I'm not sure if I want to do that.

what? bolt them to the body with no frame? the frame has axles, I've run the 1/2 tons on the burb, and the jimmy for over 10 years with no problems, I'll stay with what I have, but thanks.

that is unless they want to trade for a running small block that's fresh, suppose to be a jasper motor... or maybe even the 400SBC out of the current Jimmy.
