Default 2019/20 Winter upgrades

New RCV axle shafts, new heart trans plant, Some better head lights (leds with hi and low beams), repair exhaust leak. Just to name a few.

What is everyone else plans to do to their rig?

Complete brake rebuilt.
Fix exhaust issues.
A few finishing touches on T-case swap (shift linkage, speedo gear)
Work lots of overtime so i can afford to have someone rebuilt floor and body mounts.

dream list:
1.swap to torqueflite and dana 300
2. black box doubler
3. 3 link front 4 link rear

Not sure yet what reality will allow. #1 will probably happen. #2 is likely if #1 happens. #3 may be a pipe dream. May just tinker with making custom leaf packs.

Update
Have the whole drive train out.
Also pulled the skid plate and exhaust.
Wrapped the exhaust and reinstalled it.
Painted the skid plate and reinstalled.
Both axles are striped do to the just the axle tubes and pinions. Replacing the axle seals. Found a bad wear spot on the rear axle where the seal rides. Ordered a speedi sleeve to dix it. should be hear by the end of next week. Also ordered ne seals for the front axle. those should be hear by the end of this week.
So by the end of next week I should be able to have the axles all button up.
Going to install a shift kit in the trans this week and get it set in the juggy along with the T case (after a good flush and new gear lube).
Then it will be on to cleaning up the wiring a little more under the hood while the motor is out. Then install the motor.

looks like great progress Roy!

I got my JKU back, new head gaskets.

Hard to believe head gaskets went bad with only 40k miles on them.

I suspect either something wasn't done right when I got a new short block at 39k, or there's a bigger issue that will pp back up in 30k again.

oh, and for some reason my fan runs on high when the engine is cold and it's 9 degrees outside.

I made contact with Kevin the fabricator. He said that after the holidays he should have time to rebuild the floor on my Jeep.

I'll need to borrow a truck and trailer to get it over to him.

Well getting closer.
Both front and rear axles are done.
Stoker motor is installed.
Rear links are made and primed.
T case is all sealed up and new heavy duty front yoke installed.
Waiting on parts for the trans to finish the shift kit install so that can be installed.

But found another issue. I don't (I know it didn't) think the converter was locking up. So looking into that problem.
It was not wired up. It runs through the brake switch. which I know from last years wiring job the only thing going through the brake light switch is the brake lights.
So need to order a different switch and then trance down the necessary wires to get the converter hooked up correctly.
